Service Technician
Description: The General
Service Technician is responsible for performing high quality and
accurate vehicle diagnosis, repair, replacement and maintenance work as
assigned and/or outlined on repair order(s) in accordance with dealer
and factory standards.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible
for performing and completing work as outlined on repair order(s) with
efficiency, accuracy and timely in accordance with dealership and
factory standards; road-testing vehicles as required.
- Performs
warranty and basic vehicle maintenance services, e.g. minor diagnosis
and repairs of electrical, engine & power train, and air
conditioning systems, oil & lube, brakes, tune-up, etc. Diagnose
cause of any malfunction, defect, complaint, condition and perform
repair if authorized and/or approved.
- Examines the vehicle to determine if additional safety or service work is required.
- Prepares parts and labor estimates.
- Advises
Service Advisor immediately if additional work is needed, promptly
advising Service Advisor if any repairs that cannot be completed within
the time promised.
- Document and code all work performed and/or recommended and promptly submit repair order(s) to Service Advisor and or Biller.
- Keeps up to date on Factory Recalls and Technical Bulletins.
- Keeps shop and stall area?s neat and clean.
QUALIFICATIONS:Must
have a minimum of two (2) years of reputable automotive work experience
and/or training. High school diploma or the equivalent required.
Certification from GCC, automotive training, ASE or equivalent
experiences preferred. Additional ASE certification is a plus. Must be
flexible and able to work under pressure without compromising work
integrity. Ability to read and comprehend instructions and
information. Excellent oral and written communication skills,
organizational skills and attention to details. Must be able to use good
judgment. Must have reliable transportation, a valid Guam driver?s
license and a good driving record.
