How to clean and disinfect the interior of your Nissan or INFINITI

How to kill Coronavirus in your car without damaging the interior

In the worldwide fight to defeat Coronavirus, everyone is following health guidelines and recommendations. We’re washing our hands, using hand sanitizer, coughing and sneezing into our elbows, and only leaving our houses for essential items. However, you might be forgetting one area: your car. When you go out for essential items or your job, you remember to wash your hands after but what about the interior of your car? Today, we are going to teach you how to kill Coronavirus in your car without damaging the interior.

What are the proper products to use?

While part of the cleaning process is how you clean the interior, the products are the most important part of disinfecting and cleaning. Use the same movements that you would normally do when cleaning the interior but with more vigor. However, be sure you aren’t scrubbing too hard to prevent damaging anything. Now, which products should be used for each area of the interior?

Many of the household cleaners that you use on hard surfaces inside your home are safe to use on interior surfaces. Microfiber cloths are also safe to use on every surface. However, if you want something just for your car, any alcohol solution with a minimum of 70 percent alcohol will kill the virus. Avoid using any products that have bleach or hydrogen peroxide in them. While they will kill the virus, it can damage the upholstery. Another product that works is soap and water, specifically Ivory soap for leather and laundry detergent for fabric. You don’t need a lot of water and soap to clean the seats. Just remember to use vigorous movements. After cleaning your interior, wash your hands.
