What’s going on near Tamuning around Thanksgiving? 

Thanksgiving signals the start of the end-of-the-year holiday season. It’s a time for families and loved ones to come together and give thanks for what they have. Thanksgiving can also be for the whole community. It can bring a town together for fun community events and meals. Continue reading to learn more about Thanksgiving events going on in the Tamuning area this year.

2017 Thanksgiving events near Tamuning, Guam 

There are a number of events and food specials going on near Tamuning all throughout the month of November. First on our list of Thanksgiving-related events is the GMH raffle. This raffle is being held by the GMH Volunteers Association on November 13 at the GMH classroom at 3:00 p.m. Raffle tickets can be purchased for $5 each. Proceeds will go to benefit patient care needs.

For those who intertwine their holiday season with their religious beliefs, the Church of Latter Day Saints in Barrigada is hosting their 17th annual interfaith Thanksgiving prayer and dinner. Nonperishable donations are welcome and will be donated to the Salvation Army and Catholic Social Services.

Let’s talk more food, shall we? You and your family and friends can participate in the Thanksgiving champagne brunch on Thanksgiving Day (November 23). This brunch is at Islander Terrace at the Hilton Guam Resort and Spa. For $55 per adult, and $25 per child (11 years and younger), you can enjoy a wonderful meal consisting of prime rib, roast turkey, seafood on ice, sushi, and a total selection of other entrees, desert, as well as complimentary sparkling wine.

Want to pick up a meal? Call Caffe Cino. They have a turkey to go package available that includes rosemary rubbed turkey, choice of pie, and a bottle of sparkling wine. Sides included are butternut squash soup, turkey pan gravy, herb stuffing, mashed potatoes, and more. Orders must be placed at least 48 hours before pick up time.
