Your friends at INFINITI Guam are here to help you make sure your pet stays nice and cool during the hot and humid summer months here on Guam.
Even though we think almost every single day here on Guam is beautiful, our pets may not be thinking the same thing. At INFINITI Guam, we love our four-legged friends just as much as we love INFINITI vehicles, and that’s why we want to help you keep them cool. Did somebody say INFINITI vehicles? We happen to have a wide selection of INFINITI models that we know that both you, and your canine companion will both love! Check out our inventory to find your next vehicle.
Okay, this first one may be a little difficult given our tropical climate, but pets have a harder time cooling off when it’s humid outside. Panting helps pets get water out of their lungs which cools them off. When there is a lot of water in the humid air, our pets don’t lose as much heat.
This may seem like a no-brainer, but finding your pet some shade to relax in will greatly improve his or her ability to stay cool. Even when your pet is relaxing in the shade, make sure there is plenty of water nearby in case he or she gets thirsty.
The air conditioning is your pet’s best friend during the warm days. This could be a perfect excuse for you to stay at home and catch up on your shows as you tend to the needs of your pet inside your air-conditioned home.
Even though the sun doesn’t reach the inside of your dog’s dog house, the roof and ceiling restrict air flow and create an even warmer environment for your dog. Instead, try hanging a tarp or something to create a shaded area that doesn’t block any air flow.
Try to avoid taking your pet for a walk during the middle part of the day, which is often when the temperature is at its highest. To make sure you and your pet still get your exercise in, go for a walk early in the morning or later on when it isn’t so warm out.
Hopefully these tips and tricks can help you keep your pet cool during the summer, or any other day here in our island paradise. If you have any questions about any of our INFINITI vehicles, we encourage you to contact us here at INFINITI Guam so we can provide you with all the answers you need.
