Direct Adaptive Steering by INFINITI

INFINITI has become the world’s first company to offer Direct Adaptive Steering® (DAS) in its vehicles. Here at INFINITI Guam, we’re proud to share everything that we know about DAS with you, so you can stay in-the-know about what’s going on at INFINITI.

Become an Expert at Every Turn with DAS

DAS removes the mechanical connection that is between your steering wheel and the tires of your INFINITI vehicle. Doing this allows for immediate driver input that is digitally processed and adjusted up to 1,000 times every second. Like a conventional steering system, DAS will require more effort when you’re going faster and creating more G-force. However, the DAS will be unaffected by the kickback and forced movement of conventional steering. This is a system that is sure to build your confidence while you’re out on the road no matter what the driving conditions are like. It also allows you to choose between Sport and Sport+ modes for quicker steering and more driving pleasure whenever you feel like it.

Drive Mode Selector

Allowing you to choose between multiple driving modes lets you customize your performance every time you drive. Make sure to try them all out so you are able to find the style that fits your driving the best. In Standard mode, your steering will require much less effort at lower speeds allowing for quick and easy maneuverability. In Sport and Sport+ modes, the steering ratio is exponentially greater while going at faster speeds compared to Standard mode. Sport is about 4 percent quicker, while the Sport+ is approximately 12 percent quicker.

Triple Crown of Handling

Control, precision and adaptability are what set INFINITI vehicles equipped with DAS apart from all others on the road. After more than ten years of research and development, the second generation of DAS is here. By using electronics, DAS brings you a more precise feeling while you’re behind the wheel. When you’re driving on uneven roads, DAS will moderate the need for constant, and subtle steering adjustments while it helps to protect the driver from any excessive road vibrations.

Available on the exciting Q60 Coupe and the stylish Q50 Sedan, DAS is becoming the future of driving. Easier turning, more accurate responses to the steering wheel, and the ability to keep you from making constant movements when driving on bumpy, uneven roads are just some of the ways that DAS is changing the way we drive. If you’d like to learn more about DAS, or if you’d like to get a new vehicle with DAS, stop by or give us a call and here at INFINITI Guam, we’ll help you with whatever you need.
