When buying a sports car, you often look for high power and performance. The feeling of being able to take on high speeds with control is a must have in sports cars. The Nissan GT-R will give you just that. How much power and performance does the 2020 Nissan GT-R have? Read on to find that out!
First, we’re going to talk about what is inside the 2020 Nissan GT-R that gives it its power. The Premium GT-R is fit with 3.8-Liter V6 Twin-Turbo engine. This engine is paired with a six-speed dual-clutch transmission which allows for quick gear changes. An IHI turbocharger is mounted on each bank of the engine. This helps increase the power and efficiency of the engine. In addition, the engine is made with a closed deck and ladder frame engine block design. This improves the strength to support the torque. To ensure proper cooling, the exhaust is made with hand formed titanium that is designed specifically to the individual vehicle.
Now that we know what gives the 2020 Nissan GT-R its power and performance, let’s see what those numbers are. Premium models achieve up to 565 horsepower and 467 lb-ft of torque. Track Edition and NISMO® models get up to 600 horsepower and 481 lb-ft of torque. These two models are not fit with the 3.8-L V6 Twin-Turbo engine, but with a NISMO®-Tuned 3.8-L DOHC 24-Valve Twin-Turbo V6 engine.
