Nissan Guam Sponsors 2017 Wings Clinic and Camp

The Wings Summer Clinic and Camp has enjoyed another successful year while teaching sportsmanship and soccer skills to Guam’s youngest stars.

For the third straight year, we here at Nissan Guam have been proud to sponsor the Wings Clinic and Camp which provides valuable lessons both on and off the pitch to the young soccer stars on our island. It melts our hearts to see these kids and coaches out there teaching each other the finer points of the game, and showing good sportsmanship throughout the entire camp. The camp is open to all of the children on the island, in hopes to build a great framework for the stars of our future.

What is the Wings Clinic and Camp?

The Wings Clinic and Camp, for those who may not know, is a summer camp where children from all corners of Guam can come together to learn soccer and life skills from and with each other. The clinic provides an atmosphere that emphasizes teamwork, good sportsmanship, respect, and the necessary form to successfully master the techniques that will be taught.

What Do They Learn?

Those attending the camp will gain lifelong soccer experiences and learn techniques that could possibly help them turn into National Team players if they stick with it and put in the hard work and dedication required. The children will also become better listeners, players, develop a better respect for the team, sport, coach, and will develop a love for the game.

Safety, respect, and good sportsmanship are also some of the takeaways each child will receive from the camp. Playing the game the right way means playing safely and respectfully so nobody gets unnecessarily hurt. Injuries in sports can be common, but some can be prevented because of a better understanding of how to safely play the game.

There are many more reasons to encourage your child to enroll at the Wings Summer Clinic and Camp, even if he or she isn’t the best at soccer, the camp is one of the best ways to learn. After your child has found a new love for soccer and wishes to compete in leagues, you’re going to need a vehicle capable of carrying you, your favorite player, and all of his or her gear around to the games. Luckily, we happen to have a wide variety of Nissan vehicles, like the 2017 Armada, that would be perfect for bringing your future stars to and from their games.
