What are the best parks near Tamuning, Guam?

In a beautiful, oceanside town like Tamuning, it shouldn’t be hard to find gorgeous outside areas to relax and enjoy nature. The Tamuning area is home to some of Guam’s pristine parks for families to visit. One of the most scenic United States territories, Guam epitomizes everything about the tropical climate. Keep reading to learn about some of the Tamuning area’s best parks.

Parks near Tamuning, Guam

There is no shortage of parks all over the island of Guam. That is especially true around coastal towns like Tamuning. Our following list will briefly describe a few of the parks near Tamuning and what they have to offer.

1.) First on our list is Ypao Beach Park. This gorgeous park is right on Tumon Bay and also acts as an archeological site. Get in the crystal-clear water for a snorkel session or enjoy a day in the sun by laying out a picnic blanket. Planning out a meal or party? Use one of the pavilions on site! 

2.) Go up the road north a bit and you’ll find Tumon Beach. Right in the heart of Tumon Bay, this wonderful spot is home to hotels, resorts, and perhaps the most beautiful beach you will ever see. If you want to get away from the greenery and spend a day in the sand, Tumon Beach may be for you. 

3.) Tamuning’s parks are almost all on the coast, which might go without saying, and Matapang Beach Park is no exception. But if you want to find more green and picnic areas, Matapang Park is for you.
