Tamuning area holiday events

The time for friends and families to come together everywhere is finally upon us. While most people like to spend time with the family, this time of year is a great opportunity to get out and active in the community. Continue reading to learn about a few happenings going on in Guam this month.

Tumon Illumination Village 

Lighting ceremony: December 9, 6:00 PM-9:00 PM 

This annual event is hosted by the Guam Visitors Bureau and is located with next to the Tumon Sands Plaza. The village is open through January 14, 7 days a week Come by and check out the lighting ceremony to experience live music and meet Santa Claus. The first 100 children will receive gifts too!

Seaside Holiday Concert 

December 10, 3:00 PM-6:00 PM 

The Guam Symphony Society is holding its annual concert at the amphitheater at Governor Joseph M. Flores Memorial Park at Ypao Beach. Holiday music, raffles, arts and crafts, and more will be featured! This is a great family event that has tons of activities for kids. The best part? Admission is free! 

Government House Peace Festival 

This festival launched back on December 2 but it runs until January 7. Guests can visit the Government House at the following times for wholesome fun and entertainment. 

  • Sundays through Thursdays, 6:00 PM-9:00 PM 
  • Fridays and Saturdays, 6:00 PM-10:00 PM 
  • Santa photos are on Saturdays, 6:00 PM-9:00 PM 

Hotel displays 

Two of the premier hotels on Guam participate in going all out by decorating their lobbies and outside areas to the gills. The Hilton Guam Resort and Spa will showcase its brilliant holiday train and the Hyatt Regency Guam will display a giant gingerbread house throughout the entire season. 


Celebrate the holidays at one of Tamuning’s best golf courses.
