The Guam Museum has put together an amazing exhibit that honors and showcases the experiences of war and liberation though photographs, and more.
Your friends at Nissan Guam are here to inform you about a new exhibit at the Guam Museum. Running until August 20th, the Guam Museum in Hagatna is displaying photos, commemorations, music, oral histories, and more that tell a story of what life was like during the war and liberation on Guam. Some of the photographs that will be displayed have not been out since 2004!
Horace Bristol was one of five photographers that were recruited by one of the most influential photographers of the 20th century, Edward Steichen. Bristol took 24 incredible photographs back in 1945 of how the hardships of war and liberation affected everyone living on Guam at the time.
Here at Nissan Guam, we’re proud of our heritage and we encourage everyone to bring their families over to the Guam Museum this summer to view this historic exhibit. Children are sure to love seeing pictures of what the island used to be like, and will enjoy learning about our liberation.
Remember, the Guam Museum is closed on Mondays, but the In Hahasso’ Ha exhibit will be proudly displayed on the ground floor of the Museum for all to see Tuesday through Sunday beginning at 10:00 in the morning.
For those interested in more Guam history, we here at Nissan Guam have just received the new 2017 Nissan Rogue Sport for the very first time here on our island paradise.
