Some of us can have a hard time thinking of a New Year’s resolution. Are you one of those people? That’s totally okay. Some people just have one particular thing that they know they want to change. Others might want to improve something in their life, but they just aren’t sure what goal or goals to set. If you’re the latter, take a look at our following list of great resolutions for 2018.
Maybe your goal is to improve your gas mileage
Before we dive into this list, it’s important to remember that you should pick a goal that is right for you. What is a good goal for someone else might not even be relevant to you. Take each of the following with a grain of salt and factor in your own lifestyle.
As cliché as these are, they are always great goals to work toward. Consistently going to the gym or keeping calories in check is one of the hardest things to do if you’re not a professional. Temptations lie everywhere, but the right mindset can overcome any of that. If you’d like to lose a few pounds, hit the gym a few times a week and try to find healthier food alternatives.
This one should be more applicable to more people. Hobbies have been proven to lower your stress level and boost your brain power. Find something new that you’re interested in or take up and old interest of yours. Life can’t be all about work. Learn to love something that really matters to you.

Reading books does wonders for your mind. Watching movies is awesome, but the brain activity caused by reading books can result in tremendous long term brain health benefits. Some studies have shown that reading can help prevent Alzheimer’s disease. Pick up a few new books!
Go out and see the world. We don’t have a lot of time on this beautiful planet so why not see as much of it as you can? Of course, travel costs can be outrageously high, so be responsible with it. Even if it’s just across your state, go see it! Experiences are worth so much more than tangible things.
