Safety and Security Features

There are eight safety features in the 2020 Nissan Murano to ensure the safety of you and your passengers:

  1. 10 Standard Air Bags. Air bags are mounted on the sides at the seat and the roof, at the knees for the driver and front passenger, and in the steering wheel and dashboard.
  2. Vehicle Dynamic Control (VDC). If you are turning and your vehicle is understeering or oversteering, this system will reduce engine power and apply the brakes to specific wheels.
  3. Traction Control System (TCS). This system senses when your tires slip or spin and will reduce power to help bring back traction.
  4. Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS). This system pumps the brakes in hard braking situations to prevent the wheels from locking.
  5. Electronic Brake Force Distribution (EBD). When there is extra weight in the rear due to passengers or cargo, this system will apply more force to the brakes during emergency braking conditions.
  6. Zone Body Construction. Strategically placed crumple zones and reinforced areas will help protect passengers during a collision.
  7. Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) with Easy-Fill Tire Alert. This system alerts you when a tire has low air pressure. When you are filling the tired, it will sound the horn to let you know it is full.
  8. LATCH System. This system allows you to secure LATCH-compatible child restraints without the use of seatbelts or locking clips.
