The staff at INFINITI Guam here in Tamuning, GU is well educated about the INFINITI Safety Shield® features available on the 2019 INFINITI Q50! Let’s take a closer look at these features together!

Intelligent Cruise Control

Distance Control Assist

The Intelligent Cruise Control feature allows the 2019 INFINITI Q50 to automatically increase or decrease your set speed to follow with the flow of traffic. This feature works with built-in sensors on the front of the vehicle.

The Distance Control Assist feature utilizes the same sensors as the Intelligent Cruise Control feature. Similar to that feature, the Distance Control Assist can brake automatically when the vehicle ahead slows to a stop.

Around View® Monitor with Moving Object Detection

Backup Collision Intervention®

Arguably the best feature of the 2019 INFINITI Q50 is the Around View® Monitor with Moving Object Detection. This feature provides a virtual 360° view above the 2019 Q50 and allows you to view everything surrounding the vehicle.

The Backup Collision Intervention® system utilizes radar and sonar sensors on the rear and side of the vehicle to alert the driver of a protentional rear collision. A visual warning will be provided, and the brakes will be applied if necessary.

Predictive Forward Collision Warning

Blind Spot Intervention® and Blind Spot Warning

Similar to the Backup Collision Intervention® feature, the Predictive Forward Collision Warning utilizes sensors to warn you of a collision. This feature tracks the speed of the vehicles ahead and will warn you if their speed is reduced.

The Blind Spot Intervention® and Blind Spot Warning features will alert you if a vehicle is in your blind spot when you attempt to change lanes. Additionally, the intervention feature will keep you in your lane if necessary.

Lane Departure Warning and Lane Departure Prevention

Forward Emergency Braking

The Lane Departure Warning and Lane Departure Prevention features track the 2019 Q50’s position in the lane it is traveling in. When the vehicle merges out of the lane without the blinker this feature will assist you back into your lane.

The final feature we will touch on is Forward Emergency Braking. This feature tracks the vehicles ahead of you like Predictive Forward Collision Warning and applies the brakes to avoid a collision when necessary.
