How does the Pathfinder’s MPG compare to other SUVs?

Most SUVs will have a respectable MPG rating somewhere between 17 and 21. That’s not terrible or fantastic, but driving a non-hybrid SUV shouldn’t come with any expectations of pristine gas mileage. The Dodge Durango, for instance, averages 21 MPG combined city and highway. Not too shabby. The Ford Explorer gets approximately 19 MPG combined. A little lower, but still not too bad. The GMC Yukon gets 18 MPG combined. Okay, you get the point here. Most SUVs won’t blow you away on fuel economy. They’re strong points are usually safety, handling, and strength.

Now, with all of that being said the 2018 Nissan Pathfinder’s average MPG is 23 combined with front wheel drive, and 22 MPG combined with all wheel drive. That is an MPG rating to get excited about. The Pathfinder provides top-of-the-class fuel economy all while maintaining the luxurious feel and the core values of an SUV.
