What technology is in the 2018 INFINITI Q50?

Technology in cars is used for entertainment, information, and most importantly, safety. The available predictive forward collision warning system alerts drivers of potential risks and hazards ahead. It can monitor the speed and distance of the car in front of you and let you know when you get too close. Similar to that, forward emergency braking can detect vehicles ahead, and if need be, this system can apply the brakes on its own. This system is designed to reduce the severity of any potential collision, if not totally prevent one from happening in the first place.

Another technological innovation in the new Q50 is Direct Adaptive Steering®. This digitally gives steering inputs to the front wheels without any mechanical connection whatsoever. This allows for smoother steering and less effort to avoid incidental swerving. Around View® is a cool camera system that lets those inside the car to see everything around the car. This system gives a composite rendering of everything around the Q50, so you will always know your surroundings. Other technological features include lane departure and active lane control, Backup Collision Intervention®, and intelligent cruise control. Also, INFINITI’s blind spot warning gives drivers a sense of total awareness by sounding a subtle alert when a vehicle enters the blind spot.
