About every 3,000 miles

That is about how long you should go before getting an oil change. This may differ by model, due to different oil types used, so check your manual to be sure. If you aren’t a very frequent driver, you should get the oil changed in your INFINITI about every three months, regardless of how many miles you’ve traveled. Even if you haven’t driven 3,000 or more miles, it’s important to replace the oil in your engine. Old oil can get built up and cause your engine to lose efficiency. Changing your oil is all about optimizing your INFINIT’s performance.

How does an oil change work?

No fluid in your INFINITI is more important than oil. It is one of the only fluids that can have a catastrophic impact on your car’s health if gone unmaintained. Basically, an oil change consists of just a few simple steps. Without going into too much detail, an oil change is performed by jacking up the vehicle, draining the old oil, replacing the oil filter, and adding new oil.

Why are oil changes important?

Motor oil is like the blood of your car and the engine is like the heart. Without oil, the car just won’t work. If you go long enough without changing your oil, you will likely hear a rattling sound coming from under your hood. That could be a death sentence, but you should get it looked at immediately to verify. Eventually, your car will stop working for good. Oil changes aren’t expensive. They are routine and simple, so just get them done when the time calls for it.
