2018 Nissan TITAN towing capacity

How do you measure the prestige of a pickup truck? Well, how do you determine the status of anything, really? By observing how good it is at what it’s supposed to do. What are pickups supposed to do? Sorry for the quiz here, but it’s important. Pickup trucks are meant to do things that smaller vehicles can’t do. One of those is towing. You wouldn’t want to try to pull a full-size camper with a Nissan Versa, but the Nissan TITAN is more than capable. Check out how much the 2018 TITAN can pull.

How much can the 2018 Nissan TITAN tow?

Let’s cut right to the chase. When properly equipped, the 2018 TITAN can tow up to 9,470 lbs., which is a higher capacity than that of the Ford F-150 and the Chevy Silverado. With that kind of pulling power, there isn’t any job you can’t get done. The 2018 TITAN is as capable as any pickup, but it’s important to remember that it should be properly equipped. What does that mean? Well, certain things like the transmission, engine, and trailer hitch can affect the truck’s towing abilities. Read your owner’s manual or talk to our sales staff to learn more about how you can maximize your towing capabilities.

2018 Nissan TITAN torque

Torque is what is primarily responsible for a vehicle’s towing power. The 2018 Nissan TITAN produces 394 pound-foot of torque. That sounds impressive, but what does that mean? Basically, torque is the twisting force in the engine that causes rotation. The amount of torque is directly related to the vehicle’s towing capacity. The “pound-foot” or “foot-pound” label that we use to measure torque refers to the pound force acting at a perpendicular angle to an axis in the engine.
