Those who have shopped around any INFINITI dealership know that the automaker is certainly no stranger to innovative design features. Each of INFINITI’s models have specific design perks that make them stand out. Inside and out, INFINITI vehicles are in a class of their own. That can all be said, especially so, for the concept Q Inspiration. If you haven’t heard of INFINITI’s newest concept car, strap in. This vehicle is something special.

INFINITI was front and center at the recent Detroit Auto show, partly because they unveiled one of the only concept cars of the entire event. Concept cars are nothing new, but this one was especially striking and mesmerizing. The gorgeous design was not something that came easy. Nuanced elements were taken into consideration to design such a new-age-looking car. One might think that the car’s exterior almost resembles that of a hard-boiled egg. The stunningly smooth body is straight out of a science fiction film, but this is real life. The glossy material is unmatched and the unique grille is unlike anything INFINITI has made before. The car also features a panoramic, continuous windshield.

The design of the Q Inspiration speaks (or looks) for itself. What might be even more surprising, albeit impressive, is the sedan’s variable compression turbo engine. Why is that so notable? Its VC-turbo engine is actually the first production-ready motor of its kind. This engine dynamically changes its compression ratio, which is something we have not seen in actual production. It is a 2.0-liter turbocharged I4 engine, so its base design is nothing unorthodox. However, it allows the compression ratio to be varied between 8:1 and 14:1.
There is a lot to be excited about when it comes to this new concept sedan. INFINITI has always delivered on the promises of performance, style, and luxury, and the Q Inspiration blows away just about everything the company has created before.
