Nissan is testing out a subscription service in Houston, TX

In February 2020, Nissan announced that they would be testing out a new subscription service in Houston, TX. This subscription service is called “Nissan Switch” and is currently only available for Nissan fans living in the Houston area during testing. However, you can sign up for updates to learn when it will become available in your area.

What is Nissan Switch?

So, what exactly is Nissan Switch? Nissan Switch is subscription service for customers to request a Nissan vehicle for whatever occasion. The subscription includes rights to vehicle use, insurance and a concierge delivered switches. All regular maintenance and repairs will be taken care of by Nissan. The subscription does not have a limit on how many switches a customer makes in a month. However, a customer can only keep a vehicle for 180 days, except for the Nissan GT-R which can only be kept for seven days.

There are two subscription levels currently: Select and Premium. Both subscriptions require a $495 activation fee. The Select subscription is $699 a month and includes the Nissan Altima, Rogue, Pathfinder and Frontier. The Premium subscription is $899 a month and includes the Select vehicles plus the LEAF PLUS, Maxima, Murano, Armada, TITAN and 370Z.

How does it work?

Now that you know what it is, you need to know how it works. The first thing you need to do is sign up and choose your subscription package. Then you make your selection and choose when to have your vehicle delivered. If you aren’t sure what you need, the digital concierge will help you out. After every switch, you rate your experience so that Nissan can work to offer you the best experience.
