How are the Nissan Maxima and Nissan Altima different?

For starters, the model classes vary. The Maxima falls under the full-size sedan category while the Altima is a mid-size car. With that being said, the actual difference in size is not as big as you might think. The Maxima’s length and width measurements are just one inch greater than the Altima’s. Altima wins on price and MPG, but Maxima holds the edge on luxury

Although the numbers slightly favor the Altima, the experience may fall the Maxima’s way. Billed as a luxury sedan, the Nissan Maxima gives the driver a whole new feel. Leather appointed, zero gravity seats and ambient lighting offer a first class ride no matter where you go.

Meanwhile, the Altima allows drivers to enjoy an excellent car at an affordable price. The car’s most expensive trim, the 3.5 SL, tops out at a starting MSRP of $32,990. While the Maxima offers luxury, the Altima brings a sportier feel as a lesser cost. Both of these cars are excellent machines that will give you what you need. If you lean a little more towards luxury, check out the Maxima. If you’re looking for something a bit smaller, hop in a new Altima. Either way, we promise to help you along the way!
