What are the Best Chamorro Restaurants in Guam?

If you’re visiting Guam, there are several different activities you need to do. However, the one thing we highly suggest is trying some Chamorro food. Chamorro is the name for the native Guamanians. They are a mix of Spanish, Filipino, Mexican and many other European and Asian ancestries. Chamorro dishes include Kadon pika, Estufao, Eneska agaga and Chamorro bistek. So, what are the best Chamorro restaurants in Guam? Keep reading to find out!

Your go to places for Chamorro food

  1. Pika’s Café. At this restaurant, they like to take a creative spin on traditional food while still keeping the traditional flavor. One of their popular dishes includes shrimp, alioli and lettuce topped with citrus dressing and bacon. Pika’s Café is open every day from 7:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. On Fridays and Saturdays, it’s open until 10 p.m.
  2. Proa Restaurant. If you want to try a fusion of dishes, come visit this restaurant. This restaurant is a popular choice for getting Chamorro BBQ dishes. They have several fresh fish dishes available. Proa Restaurant is open daily from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.
  3. Jamaican Grill Tumon. If you want to try traditional food from two different places at the same time, this is the place for you. This restaurant makes Jamaican food and mixes it with a Chamorro flair. Every menu item is served with colorful fruit or a garden salad. Jamaican Grill Tumon is open every day from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.
