Students Gain Hands-On Experience at Nissan Guam

Dean Nonato, Mikey Canete, Orion Gomez and Warren Ancheta recently completed the GCC Work Experience Program, serving as interns with the Nissan Guam Service Department, gaining valuable hands-on experience and an inside look at careers in automotive service.
The program provided practical experience across a variety of maintenance and repair tasks. Interns worked alongside Nissan Guam’s service team and learned essential maintenance procedures, including oil and filter changes, filter replacements, fluid inspections and changes, battery and charging system checks and multi-point inspections.
Beyond routine maintenance, the students also had the opportunity to shadow General Technicians as they performed more advanced repairs, including brake services, engine replacement, transmission inspections and replacement and suspension repairs.
The experience gave the students more than classroom knowledge…it provided a firsthand look at the skills, teamwork and attention to detail required in a professional automotive service environment. Nissan Guam is proud to support opportunities that help students build practical skills and explore potential career paths in the automotive industry!
