Nissan Warning Lights

The warning lights that might show on the instrument panel in your Nissan vehicle are shown in the graphic below.

List of Nissan Warning Lights

The vast majority of these warning lights are pretty self-explanatory. However, some of these warning lights need to be highlighted more specifically. Let’s examine these warning lights together!

Brake Warning Light

The Brake Warning Light has two major functions: Parking Brake Indicator Light and Low Brake Fluid Warning Light. This Parking Brake Indicator comes on when the ignition is on and the parking brake is being applied. The Low Brake Fluid Warning will only come on when the ignition is on and the parking brake is not being applied. If you see this light, make sure to check the vehicle’s brake fluid levels or have your vehicle inspected by a Certified Nissan Service Technician as soon as possible.

Low Tire Pressure Warning Light

The Low Tire Pressure Warning Light also serves two functions—as the Low Tire Pressure Warning Light and as the TPMS Malfunction Warning Light. When this light is one constantly while driving, your tires need to have their pressure increased. When this light flashes after ignition and remains on for a minute, then there is a malfunction with the TPMS. In this case, you should have the vehicle inspected by a Certified Nissan Service Technician as soon as possible.

Master Warning Light

The Master Warning Light becomes active in a few different scenarios. This light will activate if any of the following warnings appear on the vehicle information display: No Key Warning, Door/Trunk Open Warning, Parking Brake Release Warning, Low Windshield-Washer Fluid Warning, Low Tire Pressure Warning, and Loose Fuel Cap Warning.
