Park in shade

Everybody knows that the insides of cars get intensely hot. Shade will protect your car from the heat of the sun and significantly reduce the chances of overheating. You can also use a sunshade in your windshield to help keep your cabin cooler if there is no shade in sight.

Turn on floor vents

Everybody loves to turn their air conditioning on high via the car’s upper vents. You should also turn on the floor vents. Since hot air rises, the floor vents will help to push out the hot air until the cooling system is maximized. When that happens, turn your upper vents back on and enjoy the refreshing air.

Add engine coolant

Check your coolant level by locating the coolant reservoir under your Nissan’s hood. Coolant can be found at any auto parts store and is easily added. It is very important to never add coolant to a hot engine. Wait a while for the engine to cool off before you pour the coolant in. Also, make sure your coolant is properly mixed. Some are sold as a 50/50 mix of coolant and water, some are a concentrate.
