As we know, the Frontier is smaller and a bit less powerful than its big brother, the Titan. Therefore, we cannot expect the Frontier to have a towing capacity as elite as the Titan’s of up to 9,740 lbs. However, the midsize pickup’s standard towing capacity does come in at an impressive 3,760 lbs. Do you have to take the boat out this weekend? Or help pull your neighbor’s car to the shop? You don’t need a full-sized truck to do it! The Frontier will be plenty to get the job done.

How does the Nissan Frontier’s towing capacity compare to competitors?

The 2017 J.D. Power and Associates’ winner of the initial quality award, the Frontier matches up very well against the competition on towing capacity. Compared to other midsize pickups like the Toyota Tacoma, Chevrolet Colorado, and Honda Ridgeline, the Frontier slightly wins the towing capacity battle, as the three aforementioned models top out right around 3,500 lbs. on the standard models.
